Let’s talk ‘PERIODS’!

As soon as you saw this title, I am sure a lot of you couldn’t read it out loud. And I can’t blame anyone, because that’s how it has been for many years now. The word ‘Menstruation‘, ‘Periods‘, etc. have been a taboo not just in parts of India but several other parts of the world. I won’t deny the fact that we have made progress, but that’s not enough. Because not talking about it still affects a lot of women across the world.

I just want to do my part through this post spreading awareness about menstrual hygiene and how a lot of lives can be saved.

Firstly, menstruation is as basic and natural as feeling hungry, thirsty or sleepy. The only difference is that it is experienced by a woman every month. And this cannot be a reason not to talk about or discuss. Menstrual hygiene is a basic need and deserved by every woman on this planet.  However; lack of sufficient knowledge, information or misinformation and access to materials create a culture of taboo and potential health risks, which can be fatal at times.

I am very blessed and fortunate to be born in a family of 4 where my father is the only male member, and I or my sister never hesitated to discuss menstruation with dad. But everyone isn’t privileged enough and that’s what needs to be changed.

It hurts to know that there are still girls in the part of the world who either miss their schools up to 5 days a month or drop out due to a dearth of sanitary protection. Many are still clueless when they get their first Periods. They say ” Knowledge is power”. And I cannot agree more to it. Raising awareness about menstrual hygiene, educating women and men about biology, making it easier to access sanitary protection can not only burst the existing taboo/myth but also save lives.

Recently, I came across this new technology ‘Anion Sanitary Napkins’, which are intended to improve physical health and cerebral well-being by producing negative ions (anions) throughout use. The bad ion strip entrenched in each sanitary pad is triggered by the friction of wearing the pads.  And one such brand making Sanitary Napkins with this technology is  U-Free.

Coming back to the Anion tech, the amazing degree to which bad ions can donate to good fitness is becoming progressively seeming, as extensive investigation on the subject suggests.

Bad ions are in the air that we respire as well as in our forms. They are also created wherever water is touching, such as by rivers, oceans, waterfalls, showers, etc. They counteract free radicals (positive ions), refresh cell absorption and enhance resistant function. In adding, they purify the blood and poise the autonomic nervous system, encouraging deep sleep and well digestion. Negative ions also defend the body and thoughts from the damaging effects of environmental stressors such as electromagnetic arenas.

To safeguard our fitness and wellbeing, it is vital that we border ourselves with a sufficient quantity of negative ions. In adding to exhausting Anion Products, which produce negative ions and may raise their levels in our forms, eating clean, fit, alkaline-producing foods can also upsurge our negative ion levels. Connecting a water cascade or Himalayan salt crystal in your home-based or office also creates bad ions.

The entrenched anionic strip efficiently constrains the survival and repetition of bacteria and viruses which cause vaginitis. Nearly all types of female genital inflammation are produced by anaerobic bacteria.  When the anionic tape emits the high thickness of anions, it also harvests abundant ionized oxygen to change the anaerobic situation, promotes biological enzymatic alteration, and balances pH.

I really hope this article helps people talk more about ‘Menstruation Hygiene’, create awareness and educate because ‘It’s better late than never”.
