Well well, we have braved the summer heat so far and we are going to brave it for the months ahead…. because that’s mother nature. I can’t take the scorching sun away 😀 but………. can definitely help you look stylish, feel comfy and fuss-free with 5 basic summer wardrobe-essentials. Yayyy!!!
- A pair of white denim – I can’t begin to tell how important a good pair of denim is in our life and wardrobe. It is an all-time classic piece of comfort fashion that will never be outdated. So how about we make this a little more summer(y) That’s when a white pair of denim comes into the picture. It goes with pretty much every top/t-shirt/shirt/crop-top/off-shoulder/kurta/vest and the color ‘white’ is a treat for the summer-time. And trust me girls, investing in a good pair of denim is worth every penny.

- A tube or a crop-top – This is one of the most summery and fashionable pieces of cloth I can think of, which looks chic and stylish on all body types. I have always been very conscious of my flabby arms and avoided wearing sleeveless or tubes for a long time. What I didn’t lose was any of the flabbiness but lost a good amount of time not adorning this super style-statement. And this summer, I have mostly worn either a tube top or a sleeveless crop-top. The best part is that you can wear them with every possible bottom, be it jeans, cargo pants, trousers, palazzos, skirt, shorts or joggers. You can amp-up the look from casual to formal just by adding a Balzer or a shrug over it and there you go girl!!!!

- Trousers – Ohh girl, that tightly fitted denim!!! I feel you totally. As much as a well fitted high-waist denim looks sexy, it might not be a good idea for the summers, especially during the day when you tend to sweat a lot. We should lean more towards easy and breathable fabric clothing for the sweaty days to avoid any infection, rash, etc. Trouser is our best friend when we decide to ditch the trust-worthy denim. The old-style trouser is always a good idea; however, how about we make it a little more stylish and casual. Here comes the flared- trouser, the cute high-waist trousers with a bow or a good linen pants. And again, they can be paired with any shirt to give it a formal look or a crop/tube-top, a t-shirt to make it super casual and flattering. NOTHING LIKE A CROP/TUBE TOP WITH A TROUSER!
- Denim or printed Shorts – It’s the perfect time to get those cute printed or denim shorts out of the closet. There is a reason why they are called ‘hot-pants’ (I don’t know it exactly) 😛 but I think one looks super-‘hot’ and sexy in it. Nevertheless, it’s a fuss-free style and you can easily mold it as per your mood. Wear with a basic t-shirt/shirt to keep it casual or a spaghetti top to make it extra-sexy. This comfortable fashion again applies to all body types and honestly- “Don’t even bother about people judging you basis your clothes.”
- Finally, an accessory that can protect you from the heat and look stylish at the same time. I feel this is a very personal choice. For some, it can be a hat or a cap, for others a scarf or a good pair of shades. I am a sucker for sunglasses. Be it summer or winter, I don’t leave my house without shades. It protects my eyes from the harmful UV-rays and at the same time adds an extra oomph to the whole look. I also like carrying a scarf in my handbag as it comes in handy when the weather changes slightly. It can be used to cover the head when the sun hits you directly, tie it as a hair-band or a cover-up in the evening when it gets slightly breezy. It also comes to rescue when you are wearing something deep-neck and need to take public transport, because girlssss- safety first! Also investing in good-quality sunglass is again worth every penny.
- Bonus: A maxi dress which looks effortlessly stylish, super feminine, chic and easy-breezy.
